The Secret Behind The No Lemon Policy!

No Lemon Policy?

A feature built in to an Accidental Laptop Plan is the "No Lemon Policy".  This feature is the most frustrating because of the hassle one goes through when they get a ‘lemon.’  The fine print reads, if you experience the same repair issue 3 times, you get a new laptop.  Three times in a row?  Who needs that?

Most people read this as three repairs in a row.  Not so!  Let’s say your laptop needs a graphic card replaced, then a hard drive followed by a sound card.  By this time you want a new laptop.

It is obvious this laptop has issues that are not going away.  Frustration sets in!  You have a plan and demand a new laptop.  Do you get a new laptop?  No!  The "No Lemon Policy" states the repairs must be on the ‘same’ issue.  In other words, three hard drives, or whatever!

Common sense states that if your laptop gets a new hard drive you probably will not need another one.  The "No Lemon Policy" is a sham!  Do not fall for it.  Do not buy this plan based on this policy.  Chances are, if you have to use it, disappointment will plague your entire experience.

I have dealt with so many people that came to the store feeling like a chump.  The "No Lemon Policy" sounds good.  It sounds like protection, but you are not protected.  The company that services these plans does not want to buy you a new laptop.  They will say and do anything to prevent this from happening.

If this ever happens to you ask to speak to a supervisor.  If you do not get satisfaction at this level, go back to the store.  When the store tells you there is nothing they can do and direct you back to the service coordinator, do not accept this solution.

Here is what you do.

Tell the store manager to contact the Service Representative and have him or her resolve the issue.  The Service Representative has a lot of influence and can even circumvent policy to help a customer.  Believe me, these companies do not want any bad publicity when it comes to customer service and satisfaction.

When it comes to a complex issue, most stores will do anything to make you go away.  You do not need to get the runaround when you have the knowledge to get what you deserve.

That is what this blog intends to do, give you the knowledge, what you do with it is up to you!

The definition of a chump:
a gullible person, a sucker; someone easily taken advantage of, the target of a scam.

Learn from a former salesperson and trainer how salespeople drive sales. Learn how to keep more money in your pocket where it belongs! There are two ends of every sales stick!  One end cries 'chump.'  The other end boasts 'champ.'  I know which end of the stick I want to be.  How about you?
